4a Reflecting on Teaching
Reflection is key in order for one to grow as an educator. The the left, I reflected on my skills as a dance educator within my student teaching experience.
4b Maintaining Accurate Records
Everyday during my clinical internship I took attendance via Google Classroom as seen to the left. I was responsible to take attendance manually. I graded journals weekly and maintained those records through Google Classroom and excel as well.
4d Participating in the Professional Community
While at APA, I choreographed two ballet pieces for Art of Creation, the Fall showcase of student work. In addition, I gave the parameters of "Fosse" for students self-choreographed solos.
4e Growing and Developing Professionally
In October of 2019, I had the privilege of attending NDEO'S National Dance Conference in Miami, Fl. Here I connected with dance educators nationally and learned important skills to incorporate in the dance classroom.
4f Showing Professionalism
My Rutgers EdM cohort and I led a Dance New Jersey Connection Call for educators across the state to learn more about our social justice aligned units.
